Dedicated to the study of Dominican Aviation
In an industry where highly complex operations are carried out every day, and where lives depend on the proper functioning of the system, leadership is essential to maintaining high standards of operational safety.

The accident reflects what we call in aviation the “chain of errors”: multiple small failures that, when combined, lead to tragedy. Contributing factors here included the lack of effective separation, the possible absence of collision alert systems, poor communication, and the simultaneous operation of military and commercial traffic.
We present the The Captains Council Podcast, a new platform dedicated to analysis, reflection, and proposals on the present and future of Dominican aviation. In our first episode, aerospace engineer Edwin Sánchez joins Captains Francisco Díaz and Christian Jiménez to discuss key topics such as the Oviedo Spaceport project, the increase in air traffic in the country, and the importance of weather radar systems for operational safety. The podcast is available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music, and will feature weekly episodes addressing the most important issues shaping the development of Dominican aviation. ✈️🎙️
